Childhood Memories
My childhood summers were spent safely at the Fairhaven beach, looked out for by the local lifesavers. I want this tradition to continue for future generations.

I am a great grandmother and grew up in Coogee in the 30's. My parents were easy in their minds allowing my brother and myself to spend all our spare time in the surf - because the lifesavers were there to watch over us. We even helped the "Lifie's" wind the reels sometimes.
Mrs R Sekel
I grew up in Townsville in the 1936 onward decade and loved swimming at Kissing Point. Now I have 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and most of them love the sea too. The work your boys and girls do is wonderful. I don't think they get enough recognition or support.
