Sports marketing industry veteran and Octagon APAC Head of Strategy and Planning, Adam Hodge has been appointed to the board of the Surf Life Saving Foundation as a Non-Executive Director at the organisation’s recent AGM on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
On the appointment, Hodge said “I enjoyed a long active association with Surf Life Saving as a young man, but career and life took me away from the beaches. I’m proud and excited to have been asked to join the board of the Surf Life Saving Foundation and rekindle this connection with a cause I’m passionate about.”
“We are very pleased to have Adam join the board of the Surf Life Saving Foundation. His experience in both the not for profit sector and the sports marketing world will provide a new and complimentary voice to the governance and growth of our organisation.” Said Darrin Bragg, Chairman Surf Life Saving Foundation.
“Surf Life Saving is a uniquely Australian organisation and one that has saved over 660,000 lives in its more than one hundred years on our beaches. To be in a position to support and provide guidance to the body which provides much of the financial backing to this amazing service is real honor.” Commented Hodge.
