Airbnb Host Referral Program – How it works!
We’re excited to share a new fundraising opportunity for Surf Life Saving clubs this 2025/2026 season, made possible through Airbnb’s partnership with Surf Life Saving Australia.
What's involved:
Clubs that participate in this pilot program can earn $400-$1,300 AUD on average for each eligible new Airbnb Home Host they refer.* (New hosts don’t need to be club members).
To help you get started, participating clubs will receive a complete marketing toolkit, including:
- Posters and flyers
- Email banners and digital assets
- A unique referral link and QR code to track sign-ups and earnings
You can use the toolkit in any way that works for your club – whether it’s including information in your newsletter, displaying posters around your club facilities, or sharing links at events.
Key details:
- Participation is optional and free
- Clubs keep 100% of referral earnings
- One club member will be required to act as the main point of contact with Airbnb
- Bank details will need to be submitted directly to Airbnb to enable payments
Next steps:
- Sign up via the form below to express your club’s interest: Sign-Up Form - Click Here
- An Airbnb representative will reach out to guide your club through registration, account setup, and payments.
- You can arrange group or 1:1 sessions with Airbnb for support or questions.
This is a simple, low-effort way to raise funds while supporting your club, members, and local community.
*Referral amounts vary depending on the listing’s location, type, and size, and clubs become eligible to receive payment after the new host completes a qualifying booking. Some types of listings, like shared or private rooms, are not eligible. See the terms and conditions and the FAQ’s for full details of the program.
