SLSA receives highest reputation score in RepTrak’s Charity and Not for Profit Reputation Report
Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) is proud to be recognised as one of Australia’s most trusted charities, following the latest results from the Charity and Not for Profit Reputation Report conducted by RepTrak.
The Q4 2025 results saw SLSA achieve a historically high reputation score of 94.9, a significant uplift of 4.4 points from the previous quarter. The survey measures public sentiment across key areas including respect, trust, admiration and purpose.
For the first time, SLSA has reached parity with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), recognising both organisations among Australia’s most trusted charities. This represents the closest SLSA has ever come to RFDS, which has held the top ranking for all but one year since the survey began, and reflects six consecutive SLSA scores above 90 – positioning the organisation strongly relative to other charities in the sector.
The strong uplift in the October to December period reflects both the meaningful contribution SLSA and its members make to communities across Australia, and the increased visibility of that impact, alongside the trust Australians place in Surf Life Saving every day. Respondents who reported a more positive view of SLSA highlighted the organisation’s community outcomes, educational initiatives and heightened public presence, reinforcing perceptions that Surf Life Saving is purpose‑driven, ethical, well‑managed and delivering high‑quality services.
SLSA President, Peter Agnew AM, praised the efforts of volunteers, supporters, and partners nationwide, whose contributions are reflected in these latest results.
“Reputation and brand health are vital to a thriving movement, and we’re honoured to see that recognised in these results,” Mr Agnew said.
“This recognition affirms our commitment to creating safer communities and speaks to the volunteers who show up day after day to patrol, train and teach, always putting the safety of others first.
“The significant uplift in our reputation score, also reflects our strategic priorities as we work to ensure Surf Life Saving continues to thrive as a modern, inclusive, and resilient movement, one where every contribution counts, and every member can make a difference.
“To our volunteers, supporters and partners, thank you for your vital contribution to the movement. This achievement is yours.”
Since its establishment in 1907, Surf Life Saving has grown to become an essential part of Australian culture and coastal communities, and these latest results demonstrate the enduring trust and support Australians have for SLSA.
